Needs

For their new two-level home, they entrusted us with designing the kitchen and dining area.

The request was for a kitchen layout with a comfortable worktop, a snack area, and strictly no upper wall cabinets.

Requested Solutions

The furnishings had to be modern, using practical yet sophisticated materials, and the space had to communicate a strong sense of design combined with comfort and sociability.

The guiding principle? Brightness and minimalist furniture.

On-Site Visit

A full renovation was underway in the apartment. We were asked to design the kitchen and dining area, coordinating the new parquet flooring finishes with the custom furnishings to be installed.

The Project

We carried out a survey and presented a 3D visual design, showing how we intended to position the furniture, define the spaces, and create drywall partitions for the entry wall and tall storage area.

During the meeting with the clients, we also presented:

  • Furniture cost estimates

  • Technical solutions for the drywall work

  • A lighting plan for electrical works

We also defined the renovation schedule and agreed on the delivery time for the furnishings.

The Proposal

We focused on the open-space kitchen and dining area.

The kitchen was designed to include:

  • A built-in tall storage wall with custom drywall enclosure

  • A sink area connecting to the peninsula with cooktop and snack zone, finished to match the same wood tone chosen for the parquet

Next to the snack area, a wall-mounted cabinet was planned to house coffee accessories, serving the adjacent dining zone.

For the extractor hood, we proposed a hood-lamp hybrid that functions both as an extractor and as lighting for the cooktop and snack zone.

To enhance the wall behind the sink, we suggested a custom-shaped quartz backsplash, both decorative and functional — featuring a decorative LED light for a touch of sophistication and modern design.

A final aesthetic feature was the inclusion of illuminated niches in the newly constructed drywall — elegant and functional, in line with the entire project.
